Creating Goals

Creating Goals: Lakshya Shrijana is being implemented through a collaboration of JWDC, the UCL Institute for Global Health and the United Nations in Nepal. 

The project takes a participatory approach with the artisans of JWDC and students of a government school having discussions about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). JWDC artists and children will explore together how they relate to the Sustainable Development Goals. Their discussion will culminate in a new Mithila Painting at the school.

We have also been running a social media campaign on the SDGs across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to engage more people in Nepal and across the world about the Global Goals. As part of the campaign, we’re sharing key research and statistics about the goals in Nepal, showcasing Mithila Paintings on the SDGs done by our artists and sharing some words from our artisans about the goals.
